De Grendel is one of the oldest farms in the Cape, with a history dating back to 1720. But their history doesn’t mean this isn’t a forward thinking brand. De Grendel recognised that the future of wine marketing was online, and appointed thinkmob to develop a digital strategy that put e-commerce at its core, and integrated all aspects of its business into a single marketing solution.

THE SOLUTION

think mob built a highly sophisticated e-commerce platform that is mobile-responsive and socially-enabled. We integrated the platform with De Grendel’s tasting room POS, loyalty club and inventory management systems to facilitate off-site transactions, telesales and ensure a single view of the customer, no matter where wine is bought.

A creative social media marketing strategy focussed on maximising De Grendel’s iconic view of Table Mountain and their rich family history, has fuelled rapid growth in both fans and engagement with the brand.

Their flagship wines are now selling out, and their challenge is keeping up with the demand.
